This is a 3D weapon that I made in the 6 weeks course titled "Weapons and Props for Games" with Dylan Mellot from CGMA. I used 3Ds Max, Zbrush, Marmoset Toolbag and Substance Painter to create all the 3D model and textures for this prop from scratch. I started model the 3D high poly model in 3Ds Max and export it to ZBrush for some Boolean process, then I bring back to 3Ds Max for re-topology. Once the high poly model is created and applied turbo smooth, I created the 3D low poly model from it with re-topology. After I arranged the parts properly in groups, I exported everything to Marmoset Toolbag to bake the high poly detail to the low poly. After the baking process is done, I would have the Normal map and AO map to bring over to Substance Painter to create the other textures that have scratching and weathering effects. Everything were imported in Marmoset Toolbag later for lighting and final showcase.
