This is the third part of the 3D environment artwork "Forest River" that I made in the 10 weeks course from CGMA titled "Organic World Building in UE4" with Anthony Vacarro. This area is the waterfall area where the gate ruins is situated on top of the waterfall edge, the gate ruins was an asset that I made from another 3D environment course with Jared Sobotta. It was inspired by the idea that I wanted to make a playable environment level that could fit into the Unchartered 4 game environment. I used 3Ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Designer, Substance Painter and Unreal Engine 4 to create this environment. It was selected as one of the best work for the course showcase.
I really learned a lot about the latest technique on how AAA studio such as Naughty Dog approach the creation of 3D organic world from Anthony. I am very thankful for Anthony lessons and mentoring for pushing me to the latest AAA game environment creation skill set and hopefully to work again on AAA game environments.
